Geelong based Formula 500 racer Josh Fort is used to travelling long distances to race, however this past weekend has seen him make his longest voyage yet. Early Sunday morning Josh flew out to the USA for a month long racing holiday.

Josh will be based in the east coast workshop of Danny and Damien Carroll, which is located in Roseville, CA. The team will be using the latest 2013 chassis from TripleX Race Co, it will be powered by a Seros Racing Yamaha R6 engine.

From their workshop they will attend six events over seven nights throughout September.

The schedule features events at the Plaza Park Raceway along with Lemoore Raceway and Delta Speedway. Knowing it will be tough Josh had this to say about this opportunity: “This is a great opportunity for me, it will give me a chance to gain some laps and experience before our season kicks off back home”. “It will be tough no doubt, however I’m looking forward to the challenge and just want to be competitive and have some fun”.

This trip wouldn’t be possible without the help of Kaleb, Shawna and the whole team at TripleX Race Co, Russell and Gordon at Seros Race Engines, Nancy from Hinchman Racing Uniforms, Noah at Shellshock Helmets, Wade at Keizer Aluminium Wheels and Danny and Damien Carroll.

Josh would also like to give a very big thanks to his partner Aleece and Dad Peter, for their ongoing support.
